I really dont have anything to add to your comments,I do not drink, but i do know that drinking any kind of allcohol is not good for gout.I have it very bad in my big toes and finger's and rhist's.The doctor put me on predasone, allpuranol 400 mg.It helped a little by lowering the uric acid from 12 to 6.1,and i started feeling a little better. But that was as far as it went. Then the hunger pang's started from the predasone,I gained 8 pounds in 6 weeks.needlest to say i stopped it.in the meantime the itching started every day about 24 hr's after i took the allpuranol. So i stopped that last night, but today i started itching again.I have done away with all meats, and anything that i think make's uric acid.I see the doctor tomorrow, and i don't think he is going to be happy.I hope there is something i can take that will help.Does anybody out there have a suggestion.I would like to hear from you.
