What is going on?

Post a new topicby ttimeoff9 on Sat Aug 11, 2007 11:45 am

I'm looking for answers! Have been diagnosed with OA for 20 yrs, I'm 49. Have taken NSAIDS all this time. Now have pain on both sides in every joint lasting all day sometimes. Doc says Rh Factor neg. and doesn't know what's going on. Does anyone have advice or ideas of what to do?

If your Doc isn't a rheumatologist then I would see one and get a second opinion. Good luck

Sounds like it is time to get a second opinion, if you haven't already. I assume you're already seeing a rheumatologist.

Hi! Thanks for the info. No I'm not. I did get an appt scheduled but can't get in until Dec. My doctor primary care physician just doesn't seem to know what's going on. Once the labs, xrays weren't definitive, she just threw up her hands and said she had no idea, and promptly gave up trying to figure out what's going on. Oh, she did want to put me on pain pills, which I refused, and an anti-depressant. Figures! At 50 years old, every doctor thinks your depressed and the pain is all in your head.
